1.Viki and Tori finish the geometric design they have been working on for art class. They made a design with hexagonal tiles arranged in rows. There is one tile in the first row, with two tiles fitting under it in the second row, and three tiles fitting under that row. Each row has one more tile than the row directly above it. If Viki and Tori used a total of 36 tiles in their design, how many rows of tiles are there?
2. Duncan and Jacob's class is saving cans to earn money for the orchestra's trip to New York. The first week they had 4 cans, the second week they collected the same amount as the first week plus 8 more cans, or a total of 12 cans. The third week they collected the same amount as the previous week plus 8 cans, for a total of 20 cans. If they continued to collect cans at this rate, how many weeks would it take them to collect over 200 cans?

Auditions are being held for another Dizzy production in the Enchanted Forest. Small critters have been crawling for days to Sunny Meadow. It has been quite a struggle for three old screen veterans: Harrison Hunchbug, Millie Minchworm and Dodgy Daycrawler. Together Harrison and Millie traveled a total of 27 metres, Millie and Dodgy together traveled 29 metres and Dodgy and Harrison together hunched and crawled a total of 32 metres to get to Sunny Meadow. How far did each critter friend travel?

Next the blue robot washed one half of the windows that were left. To the cheers of everyone watching, the tiny yellow robot washed the last 10 windows. How many windows did the Rainbow Robots wash altogether?

Kevin, Barbara, and their mother and father went backpacking in Yosemite National Park. On the first and second days, each hiker had a serving of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
